Tango After Dark is a hypnotic, high-voltage tango spectacle led by international dance superstars German Cornejo and Gisela Galeassi. Backed by a live band and two powerhouse vocalists, the show brings the raw passion of Buenos Aires to the stage — through the legendary music of Astor Piazzolla and some of the world’s most celebrated tango dancers. After a series of sold-out performances in London, Tango After Dark came to Toronto for a limited run of five shows — presented by Show One Productions at the historic Elgin Winter Garden Theatre.

The Challenge

The challenge for Tango After Dark was to capture and communicate the raw intensity and hypnotic energy of world-class tango in a format that would drive ticket sales fast. With a few months before opening night in Toronto, our task was to transform raw stage footage into a compelling, multi-format video suite that would perform equally well on TV, YouTube, social media, and email. Each video had to deliver the same magnetic atmosphere that audiences would feel live — from the pulse of Piazzolla’s music to the electrifying moves of German Cornejo and Gisela Galeassi. Every cut, beat, and frame needed to create urgency and anticipation for “The Hottest Night of the Year in Toronto” — and give Show One Productions versatile, high-quality content for targeted promotions across all channels.

The Outcome

The result was a polished, versatile video package that delivered exactly what the client needed — buzz, reach, and ticket sales. Our edits ran as TV spots, targeted ads, social clips, YouTube videos, and email teasers, driving awareness and turning interest into action. The YouTube teaser alone reached over 445,000 views, expanding the show’s audience far beyond local promotions. Thanks to strong visuals and platform-tailored formats, the campaign reached both loyal dance fans and new audiences who had never seen a show like this before. All five performances played to packed houses, and Show One Productions was able to position Tango After Dark as an unmissable cultural event in Toronto’s vibrant arts scene.

How We Got There

We kicked off with raw stage footage provided by the client — powerful performances, but needing sharp edits to become platform-ready promos. Our team handled everything from selecting standout moments to crafting fast-paced cuts, adding motion graphics, and aligning every frame with the show’s seductive mood. Each video was carefully tailored to fit its channel: bold, quick hooks for Reels and Stories, broadcast-quality TV spots, and a longer teaser for YouTube — all designed to turn views into sold-out seats.

Dynamic Post-Production

We delivered a complete video suite tailored for every channel and audience touchpoint, including three 10-second videos as fast hooks for social reels, stories, and paid ads; a 15-second TV spot as a tight, high-impact teaser for local broadcast; a 30-second TV spot as an extended cut to dive deeper into the show’s mood; and a 60-second YouTube teaser to build the atmosphere and anticipation online.
