A World-Famous Comic Ballet Company
Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo is the world’s best-known all-male comic ballet company, celebrated for its sharp parody of classical ballet and its genuinely impressive technique. Over more than 50 years, the Trocks have grown into an international phenomenon, performing across 43 countries and hundreds of cities. In fall 2025, presented by Show One Productions, the company came to Toronto’s Winter Garden Theatre for a limited run of three performances.

The Challenge
Promoting the Trocks’ 50th anniversary tour in Toronto meant finding the right balance between humor, legacy and cultural credibility. The challenge was to build a campaign that captured everything people love about the Trocks without reducing them to a punchline. We had a short runway, with less than two months of active promotion, and three performances to fill in a historic venue within a competitive Toronto market. At the same time, we needed to present the company in a way that felt welcoming to new audiences while still honoring the prestige, technique and long-standing reputation behind the brand. The project also called for a wide range of deliverables across video, design, paid media, email, and social, all under tight timelines.
The Outcome
The campaign delivered strong visibility, clear audience excitement and a solid sales result, with over 80% of seats filled across the three-show run. Paid media, email marketing and social media worked especially well together, helping the production reach both loyal fans and new audiences. Across Meta Ads, display and search ads, the campaign reached more than 700K people, generated around 6M impressions and drove over 22K clicks. Social content also performed strongly, generating 6.7M Facebook views and 87K engagements, alongside 1.1M Instagram views and a reach of 362K accounts. The campaign gained further momentum through PR support from Carol Fox & Associates, which secured coverage in The Toronto Star, Global TV, CTV’s Etalk, Breakfast Television, CBC Radio’s Here and Now and more.

How We Got There
We built a multi-channel campaign that gave the Trocks a bold, playful and highly visible return
We built the campaign around a simple, memorable message: the Trocks are back. From lines like They Are Back! and The Funniest Ballet Returns to Toronto! to playful visual storytelling, the creative was designed to quickly communicate both the company’s legacy and its unmistakable personality. We created a flexible set of videos and visuals that could work across paid ads, email marketing and social media without losing consistency. The goal was to make the campaign feel recognizable everywhere while still adapting the format, pacing, and hook to each platform.

Creative Production
We created the visual side of the campaign across digital and print, from promo videos and ad edits to polished design assets built to capture the Trocks’ humor, energy and theatrical appeal.

Performance Marketing
We planned and managed a performance-focused media mix across Meta, search, display and email, built to drive awareness, capture interest and convert attention into ticket sales.

Viral Content Push
We produced and distributed social-first content designed to build excitement around the run, boost engagement, and help the campaign travel organically through strong visuals, coverage and shareable moments.

In the End
Some projects are just special and this was definitely one of them
We genuinely loved working on this one. The Trocks have such a distinct personality, and that gave us the chance to create a campaign that felt playful, stylish, and full of energy from beginning to end. Watching it all come together across ads, email, social and the live shows themselves made it feel like something really special.
